Client-facing mobile experience for an AI-supported mental health education platform

Description

This snapshot highlights a portion of the client-facing mobile experience for Feelpath, following a user immediately after a therapy session, through reflection and insight, and into the space between sessions.

The work is focused on helping users reflect on emotional patterns in a way that feels supportive while balancing emotional sensitivity, cognitive load, and real-world constraints.

This project specifically explores the client-facing mobile experience designed to feel approachable, nonjudgmental, and safe, especially for users early in their therapy journey. Throughout the work, interactions were shaped to feel encouraging rather than evaluative, avoiding visual or behavioral cues that imply judgment or “failure.” A neutral palette of soft blues and greens supports a calm, professional tone without labeling emotions as good or bad.

The design here acknowledges that emotional growth is not linear. For example, the self-talk feature was redesigned from a line graph to comparative bar views to avoid implying 'upward' trajectory. In the more in-depth analysis, percentage bars allow 'opposing' states to coexist, without biasing for or against either side of the labeling spectrum.

Left to right: Interactive Emotional Wheel, Visualized Somatic Release Meditation (pre-session)

These two moments are subtle nudges designed to help users move from noticing to processing emotions, while still fully respecting user autonomy.

On the emotion wheel, each feeling is paired with a short, actionable prompt that suggests what the emotion might be signaling, giving users direction beyond a label.

In the meditation flow, interaction states are intentionally paced, requiring a pause before exiting back to the waiting room to protect against abrupt or impulsive disengagement.

Across the mobile experience, these decisions work together to support users in navigating complex emotional experiences with clarity, care, and agency.
