Reflections
Our primary feedback from the judges was to lead with the final prototype for improved clarity, a lesson I’ve carried forward into all my project presentations since. Another key point was the need for deeper exploration of targeted features, focusing on thoroughness of one specific solution.
If given more time, I’d personally focus on refining how the product could:
More seamlessly integrate grocery deliveries with health goals
Offer personalized meal plans tied to preselected grocery items
Provide curated, personalized grocery “packages” to minimize friction in user goals alignment
These steps would create a more holistic ecosystem, bridging the gap between planning meals and executing them in users’ everyday lives.

Following the designathon, I chose to further develop the next best feature to strengthen our core value proposition around efficiency, budget-friendliness, and health needs.
I updated the 'Suggested Recipes' page, improving copywriting clarity and sorting personalized recipes by minimal prep time and protein levels, each filter gauged by the user's inputted goals. I also mocked up an example curated recipe page, with indicators of progress and built-in groceries shopping section with the respective ingredients. This increases traffic to the groceries page while staying consistent with, and building towards, both the users' health and financial goals with minimal friction.
Overall, the project became a valuable learning experience that not only sharpened my design process but also reinforced the importance of clarity, iteration, and aligning features with real user needs.
